Core Deposits

All advertised prices assume the exchange of a core at the time of purchase. A core deposit or monetary charge is required on all flooded lead acid (wet) cell batteries, including but not limited to Interstate batteries. The core deposit is a 1-1 exchange for the same core class. If a core deposit is not possible, the following core fees will be requested prior to processing your order. Will-call pickup locations outside the state of Massachusetts may also be subject to core fees prior to processing an order.

What is a Core and Why is There a Deposit?

A “core” is your old battery, which can be recycled into new batteries.
Our suppliers charge us a core charge as well.
This practice prevents batteries from being disposed of in landfills (illegal in most states).
Recycling batteries is beneficial for the environment as it is a renewable resource.
100% of your old battery is turned into a new battery.
Recycling old batteries reduces the need for mining raw lead.

Shipping Lithium (Primary and Secondary) Batteries

Due to USDOT regulations, lithium batteries are classified as hazardous materials (HAZMAT). Therefore, we reserve the right to determine the appropriate shipping method and carrier to meet USDOT shipping requirements. Please contact us at support@assuredonenergyco.com for more information. Depending on the aggregate lithium content per parcel, primary lithium batteries may only be eligible for ground delivery. The lithium content per cell and total aggregate content per package will determine if the product can ship by air or ground. Packages that ship by air will be required to be labeled accordingly and cannot be shipped aboard passenger aircraft, which may affect delivery times.
